Renée’s style is candid and photojournalistic. What this means is that she wants your pictures to be natural and unposed. This is best achieved when everyone is relaxed and well rested. She does realize that most people like the traditional poses so she will get those first and then focus on the natural candid photographs of your family. She prefers not to use props. You will notice that she will try to refrain from getting everyone to smile on command, but do understand that it is necessary in certain situations. Your images are captured in color but can be printed in black & white or a combination of both. Most sessions are done in your home, backyard, local park, golf course or at Renée's home studio. Renée specializes in natural light, however, she knows that artificial light is sometimes necessary, (i.e., maternity & newborn) therefore, she does offer artificial lighting in her home studio. To take advantage of the best outdoor natural light, sessions should be scheduled either early morning or early evening. (The times do vary throughout the year.) If you prefer a session in your home using natural light, an in-home visit will be required prior to the session to determine if there is enough natural light. The in-home studio can only accommodate up to a family of 4 due to space limitations. The session will last anywhere between 1 - 2 hours depending on the needs of your family. It is always best to schedule the session when your children are at their best. Renée's goal is to make you and your family comfortable so that she can capture your inner "spirits". Your clothing is crucial to a good photograph. Keep clothing simple and stay away from any patterns, stripes, or logos on clothing.  Favorites are jeans, khakis, overalls, sundresses, bare feet and naked babies.  If there is more than one child, outfits can be similar, but it's not necessary to have them matching. These suggestions allow for the focus to be on your family and not on what they are wearing. Your proofs will be ready for viewing 1-2 weeks after your session. There will be anywhere from 20-30 proofs. These can be printed in color, black & white or both. Your proofs will be mounted in an album which will be available for purchase. Please review the pricing page for more information. An appointment will be scheduled prior to their completion for viewing. It is at this viewing session that all orders are made. If there is someone that needs to be included in the ordering process please feel free to bring them along. The viewing will take place in my home or an agreed upon location. Please note: proofs no longer leave Renée’s possession unless the album is purchased. You can however purchase the album for $150.00 and as long as you place an enlargement order of $250.00 or more within 2 weeks of your viewing session, Renée will apply a $150.00 credit to your order.
